At Haystack Selection, recruitment is personal.
We’re an independent recruitment agency specialising in Manufacturing, Engineering and Life Sciences, working on both permanent and interim roles. Because we’re independent, every role matters — there’s no “small” job or quick win. Each vacancy is given the same time, care and attention it deserves.

We believe good recruitment starts with Precision — really taking the time to understand your business, your team and what you actually need, not just what’s written on a
job spec. That attention to detail is what helps us find people who genuinely fit and stick.
Everything we do is built on Partnership. I pride myself on building long-term relationships, being honest and doing the right thing — even when it’s the harder option. I won’t lead candidates down the wrong path or present roles that aren’t right for them, and I won’t work positions simply to keep clients happy. Trust matters, and it’s something I protect carefully on both sides.

When it comes to Performance, we’re proactive and thorough. We network constantly, work out of hours to speak with candidates when it suits them, and use high-end CRM systems, search tools and targeted market mapping to reach people others don’t. Many of our placements come through referrals — a reflection of the trust we build and the
results we deliver.
Recruitment done properly, no shortcuts
MY STORY
Over 25 years ago, as a single mum with no money, I walked into Reed and asked them how I could become a recruitment consultant. I knew consultants were on a good wage,
and I was determined to work hard and build a better life for my daughter. I worked long hours, and there were times I didn’t see her as much as I would have liked, but everything
I did was to give her the life she deserved. Recruitment wasn’t just a job to me — it was security, stability and a future.I
In 2010, I decided to venture out on my own… and honestly, what a journey it has been.When you work for yourself, everything becomes personal. Every single candidate you work with, and every job you’re given, matters — because this is my bread and butter. I take it personally. I want every candidate I represent to feel special, wanted, and most of all,
happy with the service I provide. I’m also not selective about the type of vacancies I work on. I don’t just recruit for one job title. I’m experienced and skilled enough to work across
a wide range of roles, and I give every vacancy the same level of focus, care and commitment.
For my clients, I want you to feel like you don’t need to go anywhere else. You’ll know that when you give me a role, I will work it — properly — until I find the right person for you.
That’s exactly where the name Haystack Selection comes from. Finding the right person can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack — but with the right experience, patience and determination, that needle is out there. And I’ll find it.
I’m motivated outside of work too. I love mountain climbing and recently walked Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Cancer Research. I achieved my black belt a few years
ago as well — not bad going when you’re over 4 at the time!I also enjoy carpentry, crafts and DIY… which I think my husband is probably quite grateful for.Haystack Selection is
