Design Engineer

The Role

An established manufacturing business based in Cardiff is looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This role will suit someone with a solid engineering foundation who enjoys working on practical, real-world products within a manufacturing environment. You’ll be involved in producing accurate designs, supporting production, and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed engineering drawings and design documentation

• Use CAD software to develop and modify designs

• Liaise with manufacturing, production, and quality teams

• Support the introduction of new products and design improvements

• Ensure designs meet technical, quality, and manufacturing requirements

The Ideal Candidate

• Relevant engineering or technical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)

• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment

• Strong CAD skills (2D/3D)

• Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an engineering team
