Maintenance Technician

Location – South Wales

Job Summary

We’re recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business based in South Wales.

This role sits within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment where equipment reliability, machine efficiency and proactive maintenance are critical. The successful candidate will support manufacturing operations across a 3-shift rota, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent output.

The Role

Providing engineering support to manufacturing processes in a busy production environment
Fault finding and corrective maintenance on production equipment
Mechanical repairs including full strip-downs and rebuilds
Machine setting using high-precision tools to achieve optimal performance and product specification
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities
Supporting TPM initiatives and engineering improvement projects
Preparation of sub-assemblies and tool changes
Supporting Engineering Team Leaders and Managers with day-to-day engineering activities

What We’re Looking For

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC / BTEC Level 3 or similar)
Experience working within a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills on production machinery
Experience using high-precision measurement tools
Self-driven, proactive and able to work independently
Flexible attitude with a strong team-focused approach

What’s On Offer

£41,000 salary including shift allowance
3-shift rotation
