OPERATIONS/PLANT MANAGER


We’re representing a well-established manufacturing business in the RCT area who are looking for a strong, capable Operations / Plant Manager to take full responsibility for the running of their busy site.

This isn’t a desk job — it’s a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be involved in every part of the operation: production, warehousing, maintenance, planning, quality, and health & safety. You’ll be the one driving performance, setting standards, and making sure the site runs efficiently, safely, and profitably.


The Role:

  • Full responsibility for day-to-day operations across the entire site.

  • Leading and supporting department heads across Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality.

  • Driving performance through effective planning, KPI management, and clear communication.

  • Overseeing budgets, cost control, and operational spending — ensuring the site runs efficiently and within financial targets.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and long-term site development.

  • Ensuring full compliance with H&S and quality standards.

  • Working closely with the senior management team on strategic projects and business growth.

  • Building a strong, motivated team culture based on accountability and results.

About You:

  • Proven experience leading a full manufacturing site as an Operations, Plant, or General Manager.

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills — fair, confident, and hands-on.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, and team development.

  • Excellent financial and commercial awareness with proven experience in budget control.

  • Able to handle pressure, prioritise effectively, and lead by example.
