Job Summary

We’re recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing site based in Cwmbran. This is a key engineering role supporting a 24/7 production environment, where reliability, speed of response, and attention to detail are critical.

The business is well established within the FMCG sector and continues to invest in people, plant, and technology. Engineering is central to site performance, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement.

The Role

As part of the engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

· Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and packaging machinery

· Reactive maintenance and electrical fault finding to minimise downtime

· Electrical diagnostics on motors, sensors, inverters, relays, and control panels

· Supporting mechanical maintenance including bearings, belts, chains, pneumatics, and conveyors

· Working closely with production teams to support output and efficiency

· Ensuring all maintenance work is carried out in line with food safety and health & safety standards

· Accurately recording maintenance activities using the site CMMS

What We’re Looking For

· Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within FMCG or high-volume manufacturing

· Electrically biased with strong fault-finding capability

· Relevant electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

· Comfortable supporting mechanical maintenance when required

· Experience working within a 3-shift or rotating shift environment

· Practical, proactive, and able to work well under pressure

· Live within a commutable distance of Cwmbran
