QUALITY ENGINEER

Job Summary

We’re recruiting a Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in the RCT area.

This role sits within a quality-focused, regulated manufacturing environment where consistency, compliance and continuous improvement are critical. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality performance across production, working closely with engineering, production and commercial teams.

The business operates in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with a strong focus on right-first-time production, customer satisfaction and long-term process stability.


The Role

As Quality Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and developing quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring products meet both customer and regulatory requirements.

· Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System in line with ISO standards

· Leading internal audits and supporting external audits and accreditation visits

· Analysing manufacturing processes to identify risks and improvement opportunities

· Investigating quality issues using robust root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D)

· Supporting APQP activities for new and modified products

· Preparing and managing PPAP documentation where required

· Monitoring quality KPIs, SPC and process capability (CPK)

· Liaising with suppliers and customers on quality-related matters

· Supporting calibration systems and ensuring measurement accuracy

· Working closely with production and engineering teams to drive zero-defect performance


What We’re Looking For

· Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role within manufacturing

· Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems

· Experience working to ISO 9001 standards

· Confident in audits, problem-solving and continuous improvement tools

· Practical, hands-on approach with shop-floor experience

· Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across departments
