Job Summary

We’re recruiting a SHEQ Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business based in South Wales. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality activities across the site.

The role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and embedding a strong SHEQ culture throughout the business. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to support performance, safety, and quality standards.

The Role

· Lead and manage all SHEQ activities across the site

· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, environmental regulations, and quality standards

· Maintain and develop management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (where applicable)

· Act as the main point of contact for internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory bodies

· Drive a proactive health & safety culture, engaging employees at all levels

· Lead risk assessments, accident investigations, and implementation of corrective actions

· Monitor SHEQ KPIs and performance data, identifying trends and improvement opportunities

· Support continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, and environmental performance

· Work closely with managers and supervisors to ensure SHEQ standards are embedded into daily operations

What We’re Looking For

· Proven experience in a SHEQ / QHSE / HSEQ Manager role within manufacturing or engineering

· Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice

· Experience managing quality and environmental management systems

· Confident communicator, able to influence and engage across all levels of the business

· Methodical, organised, and proactive approach

· NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) desirable
